There’s a new buzz in the world of the health conscious. Since the introduction of Gardein in the market, people are crazed about the idea that they can enjoy a sumptuous meal made of meat, without really eating meat!
Gardein offers the convenience of enjoying the gastronomic treat of meat while discarding its harmful benefits such as carbohydrates, trans fat and saturated fat. This is because Gardein is a collection of delicious plant-based foods that mimic the taste and texture of meat. Gardein dishes are made of healthy and vegetarian ingredients such as soy, pea protein, wheat, and various vegetables. Aptly named, Gardein is indeed a garden and protein rolled into one.
Gardein has a wide range of recipes, which are surely healthy, easy to prepare, and convenient. They are healthy, because the ingredients are high in protein, fiber, and amino acids. Gardein recipes also don’t include meat, eggs and dairy, thus are absolutely carb- and fat-free. Some recipes also contain organic ingredients, which make them healthier and good for the body.
They are easy to prepare, because Gardein recipes are made in such a way that they can be easily followed by food lovers out there. Recipes are ready to serve in minutes. They are convenient, because Gardein foods are available in most grocery stores across North America. They are also sold in most restaurants and university cafeterias in different parts throughout the country.
Here are some of my favorite recipes from Gardein. I’ve picked them because they are easy to prepare, delicious, healthy, and most of all, cheap.
First on the list is the “chipotle lime wrap.” I love this recipe because I am a true-blue lover of tortillas, burritos, and tacos. This recipe’s main ingredient is chipotle lime crispy fingers, which are so crispy you would think you are eating bacons. It also includes equally tasty ingredients like avocado, tomato and lime.
I also love the recipe called “beefless tips pasta.” It is very filling, and the cashew cream is just soooo lovely you would forget you are eating no meat.
Other recipes which I love include “chick’n and bean stew,” “thai green curry”, “sticky sesame wings,” and “mandarin orange stir fry.”
